Hi Antonin! Any to be added to this? Before I copy-edit? Haploidavey (talk) 21:40, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, I missed your comment, strange thing. I apologize. --Vejvančický (talk) 08:20, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Antonin, please check the 4th paragraph carefully. It needed some work for sequence of events, and who did what. A complicated period. Poor guy. The lives these people had... Mine seems so incredibly simple. Haploidavey (talk) 00:08, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've added little more, is it OK? --Vejvančický (talk) 08:20, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Done. --Vejvančický (talk) 08:20, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ďábel z Vinohrad was premiered in 1966, and in 1968, following the sad events of the "Prague Spring" Šlitr introduced a new, actualised and politically engaged version of this play. It was his critical response to the political situation. The play was sharpened against the Soviet invasion, of course. --Vejvančický (talk) 08:20, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Nice work, Antonin. Haploidavey (talk) 12:59, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Actually (aha), "actualised" is still a bit baffling. Can we use "re-wrote", "re-staged" or similar? Haploidavey (talk) 13:16, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
We can use "re-staged", I think. Excellent improving, btw. Thank you very much! --Vejvančický (talk) 14:41, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
...and here is a video (Suchý+Šlitr personally). The second one is from the film "If a Thousand Clarinets" (music composed by Šlitr) The singer with beard is Waldemar Matuška - he died last week in USA, and it's a shocking news here in the CZ. Czech Television devoted him Sunday evening and I almost cried. Luděk Hulan and Jiří Jelínek plays in that "military band"! People from my last articles are there all together :)) --Vejvančický (talk) 15:06, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! I enjoyed editing it, and appreciate the way you give links to the people in your biographies - it's good to see all those names together and hear the music - that's a great find. Haploidavey (talk) 16:00, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
