Any connection to Milburn "Mel" Apt?

edit

Is he any relation to Milburn G. Apt, test pilot who exceeded Mach 3 in the X-2 (and was killed in the process)? Mentioned in Tom Wolfe's The Right Stuff. Seeing as it's not the most common surname and they are both in somewhat-related fields?2601:801:203:E4E0:1482:1938:3392:D3B3 (talk) 23:09, 27 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

There is a very extensive biography of Jay Apt at [1] if someone wants to go to the busywork of copying and pasting a lot of it.
