Removal of examples of Steensma's work
editLukeSurl has deleted two images of paintings by Steensma from the article, with the note: "Fair use can only cover one image of the subject of the article, not additional works by the subject." Is this right? There are hundreds of biographies of visual artists on wikipedia, almost all of them have an image of the subject, and at least one (often more) image of a work done by the subject. These are two distinctly different types of work - OF the artist, BY the artist - with similar but distinctly different fair-use rationales (I used standard language seen in dozens of other articles). Could someone help me understand this issue better? I think an artist bio looks kind of weird without an example of the artist's work, and would like to include at least one in this article.Tomseattle (talk) 08:25, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
