Lack of film credit sources
editThe majority of claims listed in the 'Other films' list are open for deletion, as they fail to provide sourced citations. In order to stave off this deletion however, I propose a stop-gap measure that might keep intact much of the information.
In place of the required sources for claims made regarding film roles, I propose that only films whose Wikipedia articles already list Mr. Botet as part of their cast be allowed in this list. In essence, this may help to cross-corroborate Mr. Botet's presence in these films better than not doing so.
This is not to imply that by only having the stop-gap measure the article itself is then following established WP rules and procedures. I merely propose it here to seek consensus from editors already interested in this subject, in order that material need not be removed from the article. I invite these other editor's suggestions for further bridging this article's sourcing failures.
Note: There is so-far only one exception to this rule —Alien: Covenant. That article does not list Botet's name (he is not a major cast member) — thus it fails to "cross-corroborate" his presence. But because the Botet article involves only him, there is no need for a "major castmembers only" rule imposed like it is with Covenant. Using the film here as a reference is therefore an exception, because the film itself corroborates his work as a "production crew member".[1] —SpintendoTalk 07:16, 12 September 2017 (UTC)

Beneath Still Waters time index
edit@Bluerules: The time index listed for Beneath Still Waters must be incorrect. That film is listed as having a runtime of 100 minutes (1 hour and 40 minutes). The time index given for Botet's screen credit is 1 hour, 31 minutes 51 seconds. If we're to believe the time index given, this means that after Botet's name appears in the credits, another 8 minutes and 8 seconds of credits go by before the film ends. That is a very long time for credits to run.
Compare that to the film It which has a run time of 2 hours and 15 minutes. Botet's screen credit in It appears at 2 hours 11 minutes 08 seconds, meaning It's credits only run for an additional 3 minutes and 52 seconds after Botet's name is shown. In It, Botet's name appears at the beginning of the end credits, as he is a main cast member. As a main cast member of Beneath, it's reasonable to expect that his name would appear at the beginning of the end credits for that film too. So either the time index for Beneath is incorrect, or that film has an end credit scroll which runs 2+1⁄2 times longer than It's does. Regards, Spintendo 00:14, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for bringing this to my attention. The version I checked for Botet's screen credits was not 100 minutes, but 96 minutes (1 hour and 36 minutes) and the credits begin at around 1 hour, 31 minutes, 0 seconds. The credits, therefore ran for five minutes and a little over four minutes after Botet's name appears; longer than It's by over a minute, but also three minutes shorter than they would have been if the film was 100 minutes long. Additionally, although Botet is not part of the main cast (he has about two minutes of screentime as a nameless monster with no dialogue), the credits for the cast members are in order of appearance and the leads therefore do not necessarily appear in the beginning. For Botet, he does not appear early in Beneath Still Waters, hence why his name appears about a minute into the ending credits.
- I have found much contradictory evidence over the runtime of Beneath Still Waters, ranging from 92 minutes to 100 minutes. The confusion appears to stem from home media releases of the film (as noted in the WorldCat entry) as providing the runtime as "approximately" 100 minutes instead of actually being 100 minutes. So it is likely that the distributor rounded up the 96 minute runtime to "approximately 100 minutes", creating a misconception of the actual film's runtime. Since the film is under 100 minutes - or at least the version I checked was - the credits are five minutes with Botet's name appearing 51 seconds into them at the 1 hour, 31 minutes, 51 seconds mark. If necessary, I'll see if there's another version of the film with a different runtime and different time index for Botet's name, but I hope this at least helped clear up this information.
