tinker-gypsy
editCan the term "tinker-gypsy" be clarified please - are we talking about Romanis, Scottish Travellers (or Tinsmiths)? Mutt Lunker 21:57, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Date of execution
editThe extract from his sentence says that he was to be hanged on Friday 16th November. However the 16th of November was a Saturday in 1700 by the Julian calendar then in use in Britain, and it was a Tuesday by the Gregorian calendar. Also by the Julian calendar it was a Thursday in 1699 and a Sunday in 1701. PatGallacher (talk) 20:47, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
