Fair use rationale for Image:Jamesmcmanus.jpg

edit

Image:Jamesmcmanus.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Autobiographical

edit

The article consists exclusively of what the subject (barely noteable) wants us to read. Serious COI here Mayalld (talk) 17:52, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

The assertion is both false and offensive to the multiple editors who have edited this page. The subject is obviously notable, and while he has edited the page, those edits have been scrutinized and changed by multiple other editors. Absent any argument for the tagging, you should remove both since the article conforms to policies, and in general no overall cleanup is required. Just because someone with a COI has edited the article doesn't mean the article lacks a NPOV. You need to demonstrate examples of such, ideally with remedies, or the tags will be removed. 2005 (talk) 22:11, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
This article was written over 2 year before McManus made his first edit to this article, it was originally created by Essexmutant on December 2, 2005. this far from an Autobiography please review the page history. it looks like the subject was correcting a few facts(which he should had brought up on this talk page rather then making the corrections himself),with that said let's not be heavy handed here although not a BLP issue please read: Wikipedia:BLP#Dealing_with_edits_by_the_subject_of_the_article. ▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 01:26, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
The article has been around for a while, however since the subject became involved the artiocle has been extensively changed. Whilst he persists in editing his own bio, and until it is certain that anything that he added has been fact checked, and checked for undue weight, and all corrective action taken, it should remain tagged Mayalld (talk) 06:07, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
And you presume it hasn't because why? Once again, the responsibility is on you to point out examples on the talk page, not add a open-ended tag. Please raise specific issues, including the offending text, here before adding the tag again. 2005 (talk) 07:11, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
