Atheism in Bangladesh edit

I've redirected Atheism in Bangladesh. Right now, this is a good place; but soon with expansion, this article may spin-off Atheism in Bangladesh to an independent article. nafSadh did say 16:46, 20 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Promotion of Leftist and left-leaning propaganda under the guise of atheism and freethought edit

"since before independence of bangladesh, leftist political parties and personalities were promoting various leftist propagandas and partisanistic movements under the guise of freethought and atheism. at present day, various maoist personalities and parties are at the forefront of this attempt."

requiring extensive research and verification of this claim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mahfuzur rahman shourov (talkcontribs) 16:10, 31 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is a malformed RfC. Are you trying to add some content? Then you need to support it with reliable sources. Are you trying to remove some? The text you mention is not in the article....so really, I'm not sure where you're going with this. Could you state what change you want consensus for more explicitly? Gallup Survey edit

First explain how not religious is combined with atheism? Irreligious means you hold no religious belief the gallup survey gave three catergories religious, not religious and atheism why mention not religious here otherwise it makes no sense? Inteqaam (talk) 00:47, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

As I already mentioned in your user page, atheism and irreligion are not the same thing. Please look up the definitions on the linked pages. You also agreed with me on your user page, so I don't understand why you reverted my edit twice, unless you are acting in bad faith. My proposal: I will add both facts to the article, the percentage of non-religious people as well as those who identify as atheist. Let me know what you think. Broc (talk) 00:56, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
But how does that make sense, Atheism is having no religious belief irreligious means by the article you gave as

Irreligion is the neglect or active rejection of religion and, depending on the definition, a simple absence of religion.

Irreligion clearly here means rejection of religion. The gallup survey about the results of those who said not religious, should not be added here. Inteqaam (talk) 01:18, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
As I said, I think there is space for both statements in the article. This reflects what is done in other articles about irreligion in countries. I hope this settles the discussion. Broc (talk) 10:00, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
