Possessive apostrophe edit

The Irish Writers Union, like many such organisations, does not use the possessive apostrophe in their title. Is there some smart way to adjust the title of this entry without breaking links all over Wikipedia? JimHolden (talk) 09:28, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Indeed, well done - it is the Irish Writers Union, in the sense of "Union of Irish Writers", not the Union-belonging-to... I should have caught this in past reading. The only solution - we must be correct - is a Page Move, and a redirect at the old name. This may require some manual follow-up, but there is no other way. SeoR (talk) 09:49, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Done; no major issues seen, the redirect is working fine in general, will chase up to undo any complex cases. SeoR (talk) 09:59, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
And you're welcome; it was strange to find just how few pages connected here, but then again, I've long said we under-cover the arts. I've started some work on poetry and other topics in the area, and will keep the IWU and IWC in mind as I work on that. SeoR (talk) 11:18, 12 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
