The article contained a false statement, alleging that Sampaio Garrido and Branquinho acted according to their consciences and disobeying to Salazar. This statement is groundless. There are dozens of telegrams from Salazar both to Branquinho and Garrido giving them instructions (Primary Sources). For those who don’t have easy access to Portuguese Archives or that don’t speak Portuguese, I have provided an undisputable source. An extensive book on Salazar and the Jews by Yad Vashem Historian, Avraham Milgram.JPratas (talk) 10:11, 15 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
