Merger proposal edit

I propose that recursive self-improvement be merged into this article, as it is longer and the two ideas are quite closely related. (Technically speaking, an intelligence explosion would be the eventual result of recursive self-improvement, but it still seems like the same basic idea to me.) Remove bootstrappingartificialintelligence from the external links edit

I removed the url http://bootstrappingartificialintelligence.fr/WordPress3/ from the external links, however User:Paradoctor reverted my edit saying definitely meets WP:ELMAYBE #4, arguably WP:ELYES #3, Pitrat is certainly a notable expert). Here I'd like to gather 3rd opinions and discuss whether or not to include this external link.

I think it should be removed as:

  1. There are many notable experts in the field which have some website - why adding this one?
  2. It doesn't really provide info on intelligence explosion in general.
  3. In general blogs should be avoided.
  4. There are many other way more appropriate and informative links that could be included instead.

Instead some relevant info could be added to the article sourced to that person's website.

Please comment.

I hope a 2nd opinion is acceptable?  .
3: WP:ELNO #11 makes an explicit exception for expert blogs, so "blog" is not sufficient to justify exclusion.
4: Great. Which ones?
2: Have you checked the blog? Pitrat works on CAIA, an artifical artificial intelligence researcher, and the blog contains a number of articles on this project. Together with the rest of the blog, that seems satisfy the items from WP:EL mentioned above.
1: It's not "some website", it's a blog containing some relevant material written by an expert in the field. Besides, and that is what initially caught my attention, by that criterion, the article by Loosemore and Goertzel should have been removed, too.
"some relevant info could be added to the article sourced to that person's website": I agree. CAIA certainly deserves mention here, if not in a List of superintelligence projects. It might even be a notable topic. As long as that hasn't happened, an external link gives the reader at least a chance to see what is lacking.
