Merger edit

Do not merge. these are different topics, Antennaman 23:20, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I don't know enough about the topics in depth, but could you clarify? Girolamo Savonarola 22:25, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
well, infrared cleaning is a good article name for the generic process. the trademarked info from ICE could be merged into infrared cleaning. but digital image enhancement is a much broader technology involving all sorts of photo-alteration and enhancement and needs a separate article: perhaps that article should just be called image enhancement. It would make sense to add a reference link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_ICE And this post. Both articles overlap widely, including (mostly defunct) external links. 109.42.115.129 (talk) 10:29, 1 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Motion picture film scanner edit

Motion picture film scanners use infrared cleaning:

Scanity a motion picture film scanner has an optional Infrared-IR camera option.[1] The IR camera channel can be used with the Scanity's optional IR dirt and scratch removal system or be outputted on a four IR channel for downstream dirt and dirt and scratch removal systems. Popular downstream dirt and dirt and scratch removal systems are PF Clean and Digital ICE.[2]
