Director edit

There may be conflicting information about who directed the original I"s OVA. AnimeNfo says that it is Ito Satoshi, however the Anime News Network Encyclopedia has the director as Yousei Morino. I'm not going to change it for the moment, but I'm not sure if there is any other more definitive resource that may say which it is other than these two websites. Yeah, I noticed that, too, when I had a look at the French Wiki article. I'll check the DVD later. --Fritz S. (Talk) 21:50, 31 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
You were right: Yōsei Morino is — as far as I can tell — correct. --Fritz S. (Talk) 12:08, 2 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, 杜野幼青 read もりのようせい. Has mostly done H going by that allcinema list, explains the quality of the OVA (you bought the dvd? madman). --zippedmartin 03:46, 23 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Add what volumes are covered in each episode? edit

Man, did they jump ahead with episode 2 of I"s Pure. I haven't actually seen the fansubbed version (i finally gave up waiting and downloaded a japanese version with no english subs...that was a blast considering I don't know Japanese. Luckily I've read through as much of the series as they've released in the US [6 volumes] so I pretty much could tell what was going on. Actually, it has Chinese subs I think...even better!).

Anyway, Episode 1 covered the events in Volume 1. That was pretty clear. However, episode 2 is kind of a mishmash of events from volumes 2 through 5, ending with Itsuki's apartment catching fire (about 2/3 the way through chapter 38 if you care to look at it that way). Also, since we're between a third and a quarter of the way through the manga series after episode 2, it looks like they're really going to try to cover most if not all of the 15 volume manga series in a 6 episode OVA (yikes!).

On a personal note, I was thinking that if they cover a volume per episode, I was safe, since I knew that volume 6 would be released before we got through the series. However, now I think only volume 7 is going to be released before the series ends, which means that, more than likely, the OVA will bypass where I am in the manga, probably in the next episode at this rate. Alternate Ending edit

What about the alternate ending? Was it done by Masazaku Katsura? Jumper 05:34, 27 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes it was, and I believe on the Author's intro of volume 15 he states that he "felt that he ended the story prematurely in the mags and added more content to make everything seem more complete". Or something along that line.
Good decision I must say, as the gettogether at the end as well as finding out the content of Itsuki's DVD really ended things on a sweet note. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.112.67.91 (talkcontribs)
Wait, was there an elternate ending? Why isn't it mentioned on the article? I didn't know about it, could someone informed write about it? (Nickyz, 5/4/2008)—Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.15.126.228 (talkcontribs)

Scanlation group? edit

Do people want to help me add something? edit

i want to add a part with the best quotes from the manga serie. I"s has some pretty interesting quotes (by teritani) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.206.199.129 (talk) 14:43, 14 April 2007 (UTC).Reply

Wikipedia is not a directory for quotations. If you want to create such a list, Wikiquote might be a better place. --Fritz S. (Talk) 14:55, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Double Quotes? edit

Is there any reason for the double quote in the title, rather than an apostrophe? I know it's as such in the manga, but why? CFLeon (talk) 09:15, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

According to the author, an American once told him that alphabetic letters haven't got plurals and that even if one forced the I into a plural, it would be pronounced like ‘ice’. Both of these statements are wrong, but how was the author supposed to know that? In any case, he decided to put a tenten (or dakuten) on top of the s to force it's pronunciation to be voiced.
So the actual title is Is゙ although given that the author was misinformed, we might as well write I's, using the convention of inserting an apostrophe to avoid confusion with the word ‘Is’. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:A457:9497:1:D0E2:F8F:F5E3:519F (talk) 22:24, 6 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
