Who the member's of the group 'The Comfortable Chair' were in reality Appearing in the film 'How to Commit Marriage' edit

As the female vocalist in the group 'The Comfortable Chair' I must say that I was and am not in agreement with the term 'Hippie' applied to our group or the film. I was a UCLA Art, Music and Theater Arts student involved in the proliferation of non-violence, politically active in the Anti War Movement, and promoting the platform of the sanctity of life through my involvement with the practice of 'Transcendental Meditation' as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. I agreed to perform in the film, a social commentary projected as a light, humorous, parody on events and personalities of the period, because I was interested in promoting the song 'A Child's Garden' written by a fellow member of the Transcendental Meditation Movement and participating as the lead male vocalist in the group. I thought the song was one of finest, subtlest, protest songs I had ever heard and was happy to perform it along with other's I had myself written while working with the members of the group whom my brother Tad Baczek(lead guitarist/composer and active Conciencious Objector practicing another form of meditation)) introduced to each other. The songs I put together, including 'Be Me', an allusion to the notion of 'Emapthy' or the endeavor to completely understand the other person's point of view discussed as an imperative way of being on the UCLA campus during this period, were written as an effort to end misunderstandings and assumed accuracy about anything or anyone, what is thought of as being one of the basic causes of dissention leading to involvement in 'war/conflict' type situations...The word 'soul' was referenced to refer to the Latin or more classical concept of 'psyche' or mind again relevant to the notion of empathetic consideration. Most if not all of the individuals I met or was associated with during this period, including myself and particularly my brother, were either geniuses or savants and psychically gifted as are our progeny and associated younger people. Although I did not to any degree experiment with the various chemical and/or natural substances also characterizing this period, most of the individuals I knew did. My name is Barbara Baczek-Wallace.. I was formerly married to Dr. Robert Keith Wallace the first president of Maharishi University of Management affiiated with the proliferation of 'World Peace' through the practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique since 1963. The University is alive and well and the World Peace movement we started then is still growing and having the impact of establishing 'Global Bliss Consciousness' garnered through the deep rest gained during the practice of the various meditation techniques particularly Transcendental Meditation.... ... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.18.4.87 (talk) 06:09, 15 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Grossing edit

"The film grossed $145,350 on June 18, 1969". This is remarkable for a film published in July, 1969... Si! SWamP (talk) 00:01, 15 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
