I have created this page to resolve disputes on the Pit fired pottery page. It seems much more appropriate to include this subject here, or on the Raku ware page itself, since the technique does not share any firing similarities with Pit.

I have left WB's external link, and copied/edited some of his content from the Pit fired pottery page. More appropriate non-commercial Examples links would be appreciated.

After time allowed to discuss/resolve the Pit fired pottery page, any Horse hair raku content and references will be removed from Pit fired pottery.

Is this a Native American Technique?

edit

Just because it looks ancient and first-nation, doesn't mean that it is a primitive technique.

Before editing this article to attribute the origin of this technique to Native American tribes, find a reputable academic source document that states this as fact, and include that source in References.
