As far as I know the synopsis is true to the spirit of the Singapore Armed Forces.

hmmm... i think so. The two series were pretty similar, although the older one focuses more on comedy. Are You My Brother? was pretty forgettable, unlike shows like the Golden Pillow.Juggernaut999 13:25, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't quite have any source in hand, but IIRC, Are You My Brother is a military-based series that doesn't involve gay storylines while this recent one does. Dubious Content being added edit

i have undid twice the addition of dubious content to the article. Both additions are similar in essence to previously identified and reverted vandalism [1] which were in turn taken from Uncyclopedia[[2]]. I had also tried googling for any mention of this new questionable content without success. Would be great if the anonymous IPs can provide a source, else its just questionable original research at best. Just in case, however, I will be posting a description of this edit to other Singaporean editors/admins, maybe they have a more accurate take on it. In any case, As per WP:PLOTSUMNOT, it is not necessary to include every minute detail, especially if it is in doubt and removal does not affect the main article.
