Alleged scandal edit

Any evidence AT ALL that the publishers actually thought that the subject matter was too scandalous? As The Scarlet Letter was published long before this, it doesn't really make sense, but then maybe the publishers weren't very bright. In any case, a citation is surely needed for the alleged fact. 74.212.27.227 (talk) 21:26, 25 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

'A Reminiscence of Sherlock Holmes' edit

Was 'A Reminiscence of Sherlock Holmes' originally published separately, or all at once? The article is unclear.--Fred Bloggs (talk) 18:41, 10 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Five years later the point still needs attention.
Did The Strand publish 'A Reminiscence of Sherlock Holmes' in one issue of the magazine or more than one? For instance, the first part in one issue and the second part in the next issue?
Further, is it known that The Strand changed the title from Doyle's "Wistaria Lodge", divided Doyle's whole in two, and named the two parts? Which of the three were The Strand initiatives?
