The VC

edit

I'm not sure why Linton's VC is gone into in such detail. This article is called HMS Turbulent (N98), not 'John Wallace Linton'. Mention of the VC should be made, but details, like the citation, should be on the appropiate page, i.e. John Wallace Linton. And besides, it seems that a cruiser was sunk, which as far as I can tell, had nothing to do with Turbulent.
As a bit of a side note, the citation on Linton's page is appreciably shorter than the one here!

What do other editors think?

  • Turbulent did not sink the wreck of the Italian destroyer Strale in August 1942. The Strale had been grounded near Cape Bon on 1 June 1942. On 6 August 1942 Turbulent was not in the vicinity of Cape Bon.
  • Turbulent did not damage the Italian tanker Pozarica.
  • Turbulent did not launch unsuccessful attacks on Anna Maria Gualdi, nor German transport Ankara, nor Italian armed merchant cruiser Ramb III, nor Principessa Mafalda.
