Rename to Gustavo Sorola

edit

Hey, I'm thinking that this page should probably be renamed from Gus Sorola to Gustavo Sorola. I originally created this article with the name "Gus Sorola", but I have since noticed that he typically goes by Gustavo in all formal contexts. It's on his Twitter, his LinkedIn and his Facebook, and although the title of his IMDb page is "Gus Sorola", if you look through all his credits, you can see he is virtually always credited as Gustavo Sorola. He does go by "gus" on Rooster Teeth, but the RT site is a much more informal type of social website (as evidenced in part by the fact that he doesn't even capitalize the G in "gus"). I originally proposed this as an uncontroversial move, but User:RHaworth rejected my speedy, so I'm bringing it here. -IagoQnsi (talk) 20:06, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm curious what secondary sources usually refer to him as. With the primary sources, I buy your argument. But I'm wondering if the COMMONNAME in the secondary sources (and presumably the one people would search more) is "Gus" or "Gustavo". EvergreenFir (talk) Please {{re}} 20:16, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
The page view statistics make me think not many people are looking for Gustavo Sorola (not sufficient reason to more or not, just info to consider): link to page view stats. EvergreenFir (talk) Please {{re}} 20:19, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hmm, I hadn't looked at WP:COMMONNAME in a while; reading it now, I think you're probably right that it should be Gus Sorola -- most secondary sources seem to prefer Gus. I'm dropping my initial suggestion; I think it should remain "Gus". -IagoQnsi (talk) 23:35, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good to me! EvergreenFir (talk) Please {{re}} 23:41, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
