1925. Agosto. El día 12 nació en Bogotá en el hogar conformado por Gabriel Cano y Luz Isaza. Estudió su bachillerato en el Gimnasio Moderno y se graduó en 1943. Ese mismo año ingresó al periódico El Espectador.
Which translates:
1925. August. The 12th day, he was born in Bogotá in the home formed by Gabriel Cano and Luz Isaza. He attended his bachelor's studies at the Gimnasio Moderno and graduated there in 1943. This same year, he joined the newspaper El Espectador.
