Mistaken Identity? edit

So as I understand it, in the City of Chicago there is a public program which cleans up Graffiti called Mayor Daley's Graffiti Blasters, but perhaps also a trademarked business called Graffiti Blasters? There appear to be a large number of reliable sources covering Mayor Daley's Graffiti Blasters, so its safe to assume that this is the subject of the article, not the private business. I also find it interesting that Graffiti Blasters was trademarked in 2002, but the other seems to have started in 1993.

In either case, Rudy4400 needs to read WP:COI before making any more edits to this page; Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a promotional page. And I think this article is about the City of Chicago program, rather than a private business, right? What's going on here? --Kraftlos (Talk | Contrib) 08:24, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

in any case it's not worth the trouble. Either the program or the company seem non notable to me. -- Luk talk 13:11, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

It looks like there's a trademark dispute (see here and here) between the city and the company. From those news stories; the court case appears over now - so not sure why Wikipedia is being caught in the middle.
The article appears to be written about the city's program, not about the company by the same name. A quick Google news search suggests considerable news coverage, so I think the threshold of notability is met. May be better to take this to an AfD. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:00, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
I only did a format/link/typo type of change (and no longer remember how I got here), but imo the Chicago program is notable, but doesn't necessarily deserve it's own article. Perhaps an Anti-Graffiti article (this could then redirect) about city and private programs in general? As is, this just seems like a complaint blog.
