The lead of the article calls Gomersal a village but the category allocated is Category:Towns in West Yorkshire. Should it be described as a town in the lead or should it be allocted to Category:Villages in West Yorkshire? Keith D (talk) 15:45, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ironfounding in Gomersal? edit

In the former gutter of an old track in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, England, there is a cast iron drainwater grid inscribed on one of its bars "J Lees & Sons" and on one of the others, "Gomersal".

The track was built in the late 19th century as an access road to a group of houses that were never built.

Based on this evidence, ironfounding seems to be a possible addition to the industrial history of Gomersal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petercliff (talkcontribs) 14:48, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
