I had to re-write this page because someone seems to think that GIAC is a separate organization from SANS, when it is just the certification program of SANS. --emb021

I reverted the June 2006 edits by Takeel that removed trademark information. According to USPTO.gov, the GIAC trademark was registered to the Escal Institute on February 25, 2003, # 2690230 under 'IC 041. US 100 101 107.
