Removal of sourced content edit

The content was well sourced with an article even having actual video evidence of Vucic saying it. It is relevant to the town, the Croatian War section and the content of the section about issues in the war during the time. I addressed the RS issue so why is there now suddenly another? How do you counterbalance Vucic’s own words? Unless we have evidence of him apologizing for saying it? That would be good to include. Otherwise it is selective to remove it.PortalTwo (talk) 01:12, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

This is a historical fact and very important information for town of Glina considering that today president of Serbia says that Glina will never be part of Croatia. There is no reason not to include this information in the article. Mikola22 (talk) 03:58, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

"Captured" versus other terminology edit

Hello. I came here off the "Recent changes" page while searching for vandalism, so let it be known that I have no vested interest in the subject nor prior knowledge. It appears to me that there is an edit war of sorts going on here and I'd like to get that resolved. Originally this article used the terminology "captured" to refer to the area under the section "Croatian War of Independence". However, IP editor 78.2.150.28 has changed that to "returned to an integral part of".

From my point of view, the original terminology is much easier to understand than the changed terminology. Additionally, the term "integral part of Croatia" is non-neutral and POV-pushing because it suggests that Glina is a central part of Croatia, which is not a widely-known and undisputed fact. In their diffs the IP has argued that it is POV-pushing to refer to it as "captured". I quote: "'captured' means it is conquered , grab, get, grasp, grip, seize , occupy , etc this is POV who does not recognize Croatia as a sovereign state."

Could we use this talk page to figure out the correct terminology and avoid an edit war, potentially with input from other editors? Hashstalk 01:32, 5 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

So it was returned with military action to an integral part of Croatia. What is misspelled here? captured means conquered like it's not yours this is POV. Those who do not recognize the Croatian state are for them is ....capture, conquer, occupy, seize ...that's the same.78.2.150.28 (talk) 01:48, 5 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Potentially "recaptured" or simply "returned" would work here then. The part about "integral part of Croatia" is unneeded and does not abide by WP:NPOV. Hashstalk 01:53, 5 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Glina was returned in Croatia by the Croatian Army during Operation Storm. I put it so I hope you agree. Good bye78.2.150.28 (talk) 02:03, 5 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
