Shallow references fail verification edit
I have tagged four shallow references as failing verification. References should be deep links to the specific page on a website that contain the information that is being used to verify the claim in the article. The page obtained by following the citation's URL should provide the facts that are needed to verify an article's claims. A URL to a website that is only selling a book that contains the information is not really appropriate. If the website provides information about a book that you know contains the information, such as the book's title, author, publisher and ISBN, then cite the book, directly, not the website URL of the web-page advertising or selling the book. However, website URL's that provide a book preview, quick-read or even a summary might be acceptable provided they contain the appropriate information needed for verifying the article. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 12:45, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
