Extensive revision needed

edit

This article will require extensive revision but research is needed before edits are made. Apart from the introduction there is very little information about Gilbert Tennent's role in the Great Awakening. The section "Role as an emissary" contains factual errors and is more about the Paxton Boys than Tennent. Scots-Irish immigrants squatted on indigenous territory and thus became targets during the French and Indian War and Pontiac's War. The Paxton Boys formed in 1763 in response. Revised, expanded, updated and reformatted. Focus of the article is now on Tennent's ministry and the role he played in the First Great Awakening and the Old Side–New Side controversy. Griffin's Sword (talk) 20:24, 30 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
