Though this is only a stub, I must query the assertion that he suffered cruelty as a child. From parent or teacher? Mental or physical? Abnormal for the times? What are the sources, and how reliable are they? Also, is it logical to equate childhood suffering with academic achievement? The Lawless One (talk) 16:08, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
