Examples needed, clarification required.
editI'm having trouble understanding the concept behind this activity. Please create or find public domain examples of this drawing technique as I'm having trouble visualizing it from the article's explanation. Are there any goals or rules of engagement for this activity? It seems more like a blend of orienteering competition, performance art, and road rally than drawing. Please clarify! I believe the rewrite has answered theses questions. Thenathanrae (talk) 18:58, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
How to show map data in a public domain image?
editAlmost all the examples this artform I can find are based on maps which include licenced data. Even OSM data can't be included on Wikipedia as it is creative commons, not public domain. How do we get around this? Thenathanrae (talk) 19:02, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Thenathanrae: Licensed data can be included in Wikipedia if it is fair use. Creative Commons (including OSM) can be included in the stricter Wikimedia Commons if it's neither non-commercial-only nor no-derivatives. Cheers, cmɢʟee⎆τaʟκ 08:59, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
