Background and composition

edit
  • The image of Diplo seems unecessary, the caption is already on the secont paragraph of the article and there are already two images on this small article.
  • who served as → who was a
  • Regarding the genre of the songs the dancehall is according to Idolator is "dancehall-tinged", so the track is heavily influenced by it and not a genre. Gay Times also claims the same for the reggae beat, "Reggae-tinged", however the Guardian author says "Future is her go at pop’s next big trend, roots reggae", so change reggae to roots reggae + wikilik. Nevetherless, if you can find sources claiming the afomerementioned genres they can stay.
  • Due to preivous explanation "It is a roots reggae and hip hop song, heavily influenced by dancehall.[5][7][8]"
  • Plugged In setence remove per not being a reliable source as it bias towards social conservative and religious views

Reception

edit
  • darkness hangs heavy [on the album] [...] present even on the bobbing reggae of 'Future' → this would be better fit on the above section. It doesn't state if he liked or disliked the track, its just a descreption of the track.
Where is this?
@MarioSoulTruthFan: I removed it as I thought it wasn't relevant enough; it's already stated that it's a reggae song Alex reach me! 21:22, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Entertainment Weekly and Financial Times → same as previous
  • Moreover, these three source add to the genre of the song. bobbing reggae and dancehall flavour → influence, with EW calling it a "dancehall jam". The Idolator review of Madame X also cails it " dancehall-lite", so I'm sure its influenced by dancehall
  • Writing for Gay Times, → positive review
  • sell the song → sell the track
  • On France's singles download chart, the song reached number 16, On the UK Singles Downloads Chart, the track reached number 33 → The track peaked at number 16 and 33, on the French Digital and UK Download charts, respectively.
  • the song debuted → the track debuted
  • Why not a mnetion of Euro Digital?
  • The image of Quavo should be in the beggining of the section.
