editThe sentence, "However, it was determined that a bridge would have had a negative environmental and aesthetic impact on the nearby National Monument and Historic Site at Fort McHenry and the neighboring residential communities of Locust Point and Fells Point," should be re-written to reflect the determining role that the communities played in forcing the cancellation of surface highways (and the bridge) in the Inner Harbor area. The current sentence, using a passive construct, mis-represents the history. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.196.116.248 (talk) 22:14, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
There was no tunnel running to Federal Hill or from it to Fort McHenry during the Civil War. There WERE tunnels/underground rooms in Federal Hill and the neighborhood of Cross Street, but they do not connect and have more to do with historic mining in the area (clay, salt) than any military use. The idea of tunnels to and from Federal Hill and Fort McHenry is nothing more than local legend, repeated so often it's taken as fact, with no basis in the historical record. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.83.133.248 (talk) 16:54, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

The E-Z Pass toll rate, on a Commuter plan, is pro-rated per 50 trips using a $70.00 pass at $1.40 per trip, as of January 2017. The E-Z Pass break-even point compared to paying the full $4.00 toll per trip, is 18 trips. Regional passes are also available; for example, residents of the Baltimore area can purchase an E-Z Pass for area bridges and tunnels in a separate plan. An E-Z Pass can be bought at the tunnel, or online at https://www.ezpassmd.com/en/home/index.shtml. [1]50.201.245.130 (talk) 03:20, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
Operating speed?
editI think the speed limit used to be 50 miles per hour, but was raised recently to 55? 71.178.171.205 (talk) 21:11, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
tunnel pictures
editWe have File:Fort McHenry Tunnel Bore 2.jpg in the infobox. Is there any useful purpose to the addition of File:Fort McHenry Tunnel, I-95.jpg? The second picture does not add anything that the infobox picture doesn't already show, and in my opinion it is a poorer quality picture as it is out of focus.
