Dating problem

"Federico di Sanseverino was born in Naples in 1475 or 1477, the son of Roberto Sanseverino d'Aragona, general of the papal army, and his second wife Elisabetta da Montefeltro.[1]

Early in his career, he was a cleric in Milan before becoming a protonotary apostolic.[1]

On November 5, 1481, he became the apostolic administrator of the see of Maillezais and occupied that post until 1508.[1]"

the source cited in note one gives the same information; but it seems extremely unlikely that he would have been born in the 1470s if he became an administrator in 1481 (he would have been only 4 or 6 years old); it seems more likely that he was born in the 1450s or 1460s. Overlinked?

@Vicedomino: I removed a couple of duplicate wikilinks but otherwise I'm not sure that I agree with the overlinking. Do you feel that 'Rome', 'Naples', and 'papal guard' shouldn't be links? Leschnei (talk) 00:22, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

@Leschnei:The question is whether they lead the reader to useful information about Federico di Sanseverino. They certainly do not. They are only decorative. The articles you cite are so general as to lead to frustration rather than enlightenment. When you look at the page, you see that a person (or people) has linked every proper name possible.
