Mrs. Preston Davie edit

Many news accounts report her as such. [1] Her husband (died 1967) was "a descendant of distinguished early American families" according to his NYT obit. [2] Both were quite influential. Jokestress 03:23, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mrs. Adolf Ladenburg, socially prominent New Yorker, died at 10:30 o'clock tonight at her country home here. With her when she died was her daughter, Mrs. Preston Davie, who hurried from Europe several weeks ago when her mother's illness became acute. NYT Aug 10, 1937 [3]

Mary vs. May edit

Most sources give Mary, but New York Times obit says May. See refs. Jokestress 04:23, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

It seems that May was her nickname and is used interchangeably in many articles. Jokestress 21:11, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
