Historical inaccuracy?

I was surprised to find this nominated for DYK. There is only one citation available which states that the park was built in 1943. Other sources say it was completed in 1953 (See [1] and [2]). In 1943 Singapore was in the midst of WW2 and I really don't understand how this park could have been built at that time. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 18:01, 25 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
