Social media and self-created documents as references edit

This article includes many references, but most of them should be removed. References should be to material written in edited publications such as books, magazines, newspapers, etc. (not on personal websites, blogs and social media) that are about the subject, but written by journalists or other authors not connected with the subject. For example, if someone "tweets" about him, this fact should only be in the article if a journalist or professional writer finds it important enough to write about, and then that should be the reference, not the tweet itself. Otherwise, this becomes a forum for the subject to promote his ideas, rather than a neutral summary of what has already been published about him.—Anne Delong (talk) 13:59, 9 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

As User:Miriamfrolich is the editor contributing the bulk of material to the Emmanuel Navon page, I've left a message on User talk:Miriamfrolich with internal links to this page and also to WP:Teahouse#Establishing notability for Emmanuel Navon page. I believe she'll find these useful in a clean-up of inadmissible references and adding substantive sources with citations. -- Deborahjay (talk) 14:31, 9 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
