Fair use rationale for Image:Pahlavi coat of arms.jpg

Image:Pahlavi coat of arms.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

No sources = flaws without end

1) The article claims this logo as "coat of arms of Iran since the 1979 Iranian Revolution", but "officially approved by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini on May 9, 1980." This is crazy - 1979 or 1980-05-09 ?! Inoffically in 1979? It was "officially adopted by the Government on July 29, 1980" (Hamid Nadimi)?! Now we get insane?

2) The name of this "U+262B / ☫ / 9771" thing in Unicode is not "Persian Symbol" (Miscellaneous Symbols is wrong too) and has never been. Have a look at http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U2600.pdf (Unicode 5.1) - the name is "FARSI SYMBOL = symbol of iran (1.0)". This is another source for "FARSI SYMBOL": http://unicode.org/Public/UNIDATA/UnicodeData.txt

3) Someone stated in http://www.siao2.com/2005/01/29/363208.aspx that this is neighter Persian nor Farsi: It is the Arabic (!) lignature for "god". Thhis would be funny.

4) The "Allah" beast was one of the 1890 characters, that changed its name from Unicode 1.0 (released in October 1991) to Unicode 1.0.1 (released in June 1992) in the merger with ISO 10646. http://everything2.com/title/Unicode%25201.0 http://www.unicode.org/history/publicationdates.html

5) Just another joke in http://unicode.org/notes/tn27/ on "FARSI SYMBOL": "This symbol is so named because as symbol of Iran it cannot be encoded in ISO standards" !?! Okay, but isn't a coat of arms a logo? So this logo-of-islamian-revolution is a SYMBOL OF FARSI in ISO and Unicode...

similarity with sikh symbol Khanda

I find this symbol, very similar to sikh symbol Khanda (Sikh symbol). Was this symbol inspired by Khanda (Sikh symbol)..? I wish to know..! Because Khanda was an earlier one(16th century) and Emblem of Iran is relatively new..! Sunnyroyeee (talk) 06:24, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
