Singles

edit

Most of the songs referred to as singles on this article and their individual articles don't align with WP:SINGLESCRIT. "Skinny Dipping", "Fast Times", and "Vicious" were released as digital singles, but there's no evidence that any of them impacted radio or had physical single releases; they should be classified as promotional singles. "Because I Liked a Boy" had a music video, but it's technically just an album track. "Nonsense" is the only song from this album that seems to qualify as an official single since it impacted US pop radio. Thoughts? 71.234.178.78 (talk) 21:57, 24 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

As per WP:SINGLE?:
"Skinny Dipping" IS a single; see [1]
"Fast Times" IS a single; see [2]
"Vicious" IS a single; see [3]
"Because I Liked a Boy" IS NOT a single as there are not official sources that state otherwise. Maxwell King123321 02:04, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Billboard calling songs "singles" does NOT determine whether they are official or promotional singles; the term "single" can refer to either. For instance, Billboard called "The Light Is Coming" the "second single" from Sweetener [4], but Wikipedia classifies it as a promo single because it did not receive a radio release. The first three alleged singles from this album do not have sources proving an official single release. 71.234.178.78 (talk) 20:14, 5 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I agree that Because I Liked a Boy is not a single. Someone added it back on here and said it’s a single purely because ENews (which has no link or knowledge to Sabrina or Music releases) called it a single. Can you clear it up? Many websites call songs singles purely because of a music video like Dance for You by Beyoncé and such. 47.223.58.232 (talk) 04:22, 16 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
