The link to the Ellesmere Manuscript at the bottom of this page is out of date. I thought I should let everyone know 24.108.189.244 02:45, 15 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Surely the title of this article is wrong? The facsimiles (published 1911 and 1995) as well as the official Huntington Library description (1989) of the MS all call it the "Ellesmere Chaucer". When it is referred to as 'the Ellesmere manuscript' is is usually part of a longer name: "The Ellesmere Manuscript of the Canterbury Tales". The Huntington Library has many Ellesmere manuscripts, not just this one, so surely it is wrong and/or misleading to refer to it as *the* Ellesmere MS? —Preceding unsigned comment added by PeterKidd (talkcontribs) 17:19, 29 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I suspect that within Chaucerian scholarship it is usually known as the Ellesmere manuscript, and in wider contexts as the "Ellesmere Chaucer". but a move may well be justified. I've moved it, as both working refs, including the Library, use this name. Johnbod (talk) 19:56, 25 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
