There's a lot of talk here about how she didn't know who her mother was until after the mother's death; the mother saw her rarely and couldn't acknowledge her...what about her father? Did he acknowledge her? He lived much longer than her mother.218.14.53.42 (talk) 13:15, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Military Career

edit

I turned a paragraph, which was just a list, into a table. In doing so I found some serious errors, which is why this information is best displayed as a table. The text of the article, when converted to a table looked like this.

Rank Date
Ensign     8 November 1798
Captain     4 May 1801
Major     12 May 1808
Lt. Colonel     16 March 1809
Major-General     22 July 1830
Lieutenant-General    23 November 1841
Colonel     2 November 1842
General     20 June 1854

This is clearly wrong. I made a flat guess that he was promoted to Colonel in 1822, and that is what is in the article as I write this. If you know better please correct it.Nick Beeson (talk) 12:35, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Notability

edit

I read the introduction and more and I had to ask: What is notable about this person? Nothing that I can see. She is only notable in relation to other people, "notably" her parents. It would be good if someone who knows enough would add to the intro some explanation of why she should have an article. For example: She is notable because her parents and descendants were important people (if true about the descendants). Zaslav (talk) 01:41, 10 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
