Criticism of command in Mediterranean

edit

A point we may want to note here is that Admiral Cunningham was scathing of King's command decisions during 1941 and 1942, particulary at Crete and later operations off North Africa. Sources suggest that Cunningham arranged with Dudley Pound, First Sea Lord, to move King from the front line to a desk position. I'll see if I can dig out suitable sources.
