Redirection to Rohan Amarasekera edit

AVM Amarasekera is better known as Rohan Amarasekera. This page is best redirected to Page Rohan Amarasekera with correct spelling of his surname and use of the first name most likely to be used in search requests. Apologies for any breaches of etiquette Fattutor (talk) 14:25, 25 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Suggest the best method of arbitration to determine correct spelling is a search under each spelling and the number of hits about Air Vice Marshall Amarasekera in Sri Lankan press and particularly airforce websites which I belive will give a more accurate indication of correct spelling. Secondly its a matter which could be put to Sri Lankan wikipedians for discussion. Nowhere is he referred to as "Edward Amarasekera" in Sri Lankan press or airforce documents in the public domain. In my opinion the title spelling is a typo as the text of the page reverts to correct spelling. Unfortunately one possible conclusion is that the secondary literature from the wikipedia has propogated the incorrect spelling. A tribute to the impact and influence of wikipedia which in this case has been detrimental to the cause of accuracy, a quality so important in an encyclopedia. If there is any way that the page can be renamed that would be the ideal solution. Fattutor (talk) 09:13, 26 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
