Concerns

The data are four years old and portray Québec's economy more positively than recent facts permit.

This article doesn't seem to be written neutrally. While Quebec has a strong economy, this article seems to mention mostly positive points without analysis, as if it were a marketing pamphlet. More comparison to the economies of other Canadian provinces and the US would be useful. A reader of this article might wonder how the economy of Quebec is affected by the possibility of separation, if this can be written in a balanced way.

Comparison with other provinces of Canada, US states, and other countries are welcomed if you have numbers. True, there is no analysis, which cannot be written neutrally anyway. The figures given are indeed showing mostly the positive aspects of Quebec's economy. People are free to write on the weak points of Quebec's economy, which are often weak points of Canada's economy (such as the dependency on the US market for exports, the value of the Canadian dollar, the size of the interior market, the productivity not as high as it could be etc.).

As for the impact of Canada's political instability on its economy (and more specifically that of Quebec), well that's a pretty interesting topic, but there simply is no way to write anything "neutral" on it. The only figures we have I guess are that of the fluctuations in the value of the Canadian dollar during the 1980 and 1995 referendum campaigns. There's hardly anymore material than this, the rest being totally biased because the only studies we have were conceived to either scare Quebecers with a doomsday scenario or reassure them by showing them the most positive prospects. -- Mathieugp 16:56, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

Agriculture?

Where is the section quebec agriculture? Quebec has the largest number of dairy cows, pigs and sheep in canada, I'd say that's a pretty important section to have? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.134.234.90 (talk) 14:18, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Billions and billions

An unregistered editor tried to change one decimal items from "billions" to millions, then realized it should be changed back. All should be billions. BUT, this was apparently written with the old idea that billions was misunderstood by a UK audience, so they were are commaed, not decimaled! I think they should all be changed to decimal. Forget the commas. The UK now understands billions the way everyone else does. (Don't know about commas though)!. Student7 (talk) 18:36, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
