I listen to this radio back in the 80's when I was studying in Manchester. I am a bit surprise to discover they are still going strong. It is the first of its kind and has a regular following among the Chinese Community. I have sourced information from the BBC Radio Website, their Current Transmissions on the internet and Archives from RTHK. I have done some translation form their Chinese Text summaries and rewrite. I have some old issue of Siyu Magazine which did some report on them but they are not on the internet. I will submit addition information when more sources can be located. For example, I am aware that two of their past presenters are now working in the Chinese Radio in London but I don't have any written source to confirm this yet. The image Image:BBC Radio Manchester.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
