Translation of the word "rijksdaalder"

Currently, "rijksdaalder" is translated as "national dollar". While the daalder - dollar part is a perfect translation, translating "rijks" to "national" is not so great. "Rijks" means of the "rijk" (genitive), and "rijk" is generally translated as "realm" ( e.g. http://en.bab.la/dictionary/dutch-english/rijk and the reverse http://en.bab.la/dictionary/english-dutch/realm ). A more semantically accurate translation would therefore be "dollar of the realm", especially taking into account the corresponding English phrase "coin of the realm".
