Forrest Johnson's review in The Space Gamer doesn't reconcile well with the content in the article and its stated early versions. Johnson's [1981] review states: "The graphics are improved over the earlier version. No longer is the map cluttered with cards ... There is no more combat between players. A wizard can no longer win the game by immolating a few elves and heroes. Unfortunately, a wizard can still win by cleaning out the upper levels, forcing the weaker players to the more dangerous part of the board. The dwarf class has been eliminated. The alternate classes from Dragon have been excluded."[1] (The rest of the text is already in the Reception section.)
This implies that in a version before 1981, players could fight each other and there was a dwarf class. The article does not account for that. I don't know if the original 1975 version should be updated to reflect this or if there is another, missing, version that should be inserted between the 1975 and 1989 versions listed. Since I don't know, I'm just noting the text from the review here for future use in case this is clarified. Airborne84 (talk) 01:49, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
