Dublin City Archives has the printed report no.76 of 1886 on the office of marshal. If and when they digitize it and put it online it will help this article. jnestorius(talk) 16:14, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- Also the Report of the Greater Dublin Commission of Inquiry 'to examine the several laws and the practice affecting the administration of local and public utility services, including local representation and taxation throughout the Capital City of Dublin, and the county of Dublin and to recommend such changes as may be desirable' (7th July 1926.) OCLC 605132342. The Oireachtas library has a scan but only available at an internal URL http://vhlms-a01/Data/Library1/Library1/O0000104.pdf. Apparently it recommended abolition of the Marshal, macebearer, and swordbearer. jnestorius(talk) 09:03, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
