Simulator Adaptation Syndrome

This part doesn't seem to be related the focus of the article, makes no citations, and is written like someone trying to win an argument no one was having about the existence of simulator sickness, it has been left uncited for several years I'm just going to delete it. -anon

Seperate article?

Perhaps now is the time to break out game-type simulators and research simulators. The CVG project is not the place for an article regarding research simulators, IMHO --Cassavau 15:44, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Additions I would like to make.

• Find and list more information regarding the use of simulators in novice driver training.
• Discussion of 'fidelity' issues. Nearly every simulator proclaims itself to be a 'high-fidelity' simulator though the simulators vary widely. I would like to list components of fidelity -- graphic quality, motion, realism of traffic etc.
  • examples of simulators of various fidelities.
• The gaming section needs to be filled out as well, but I'm not sure yet how to do so.

What Driving simulator games were made?

This article does not mention or link to/from the different driving simulator games articles on Wikipedia which were made.. any would do... does anyone here know any? --Acidburn24m 08:05, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Entertainment section

First: Why is Grand Prix Legends mentioned like it was some kind of first? Like the rest of the computer world, these types of simulators and games have evolved over time. Second: Wheel devices mentioned in a backwards fashion... They are rarely included with the game, rather bought separate and sometimes include a free game (usually a slightly older game that didn't sell well). Third: This section could really do with some names of current home user level sims (open source and commercial). That's what I was looking for when I ended up here (via Google). This is a terrible article

It reads like someone is used to writing bulk content for a website.

Where are police patrol car simulators listed? What about helicopter and airplane simulators?

Also, simulator sickness is real. Go clean a few up after then tell me it's not a 'thing'.

I just started a section that I hope others will improve: It's intended to a list of simulation software that would be useful to ordinary folks learning to drive, trying to pass their road test by practicing on their PC.

I was surprised to find so few when I searched the web and Steam for various combinations of driving school simulator road rules.

I have not done a good search. "to do" are:

• search on Xbox, Playstation, Switch stores

• search on Mac (Apple store, web search)

• search on iOS App Store and Android app stores

I noticed previously that there's lots of 2D top-down, and parking games on Google Play store. These should get their own subsections, but not here, since neither of which are simulations of a road test - ie aren't enough to help someone pass their driving test

I hope it will evolve into a table with comparison features, someday. But first we need more entries! Surely there are more programs out there than this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshwhitkin (talk • contribs)

Wikipedia isn't a directory, such lists are off-mission for an encyclopedia. This is a bit like adding a list of local plumbers to the article on plumbing, that's just not what this project is for. - MrOllie (talk) 13:56, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

   Drivesim (<<link redacted>> . Driving rules for right-hand drive only: Signage for Spain, German, Brazil only.
