I think someone should add something about the video for "Drive" by Incubus (band), since this drawing most likely inspired the idea for the video.
Perhaps this isn't a picture of two hands drawing each other INTO existence but a race to make the other hand inanimate; a struggle to stay real.

How many original copies exist? Where can they be seen? edit
This page from Sotheby's indicates that 17 original copies from 1948 exist. Several galleries list "drawing hands": e.g. the National Gallery of Art and Escher in the Palace. I think more information on this topic (with a good reference) would improve the article. --Kallichore (talk) 22:02, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
