I don't know when the original statement for this was added nor when the hidden note was added. I did a Google search for ME and found only hits to this article and a 76 page book by Nuadha Trev. Google books states that this is sourced to WikiP. I also tried to track down the NYT wedding announcement but you have to be a subscriber to access it. So I have added a "dubious" tag. AGF means the info may be correct - or at least the quoting of the NYT may be accurate but if there never was a ME then we probably should remove the sentence.
