I would be wary of including any claims relating to Saoirse na hÉireann, and the IRLA. Other than the Irish Mirror article (which isn't particularly great to begin with) is there any evidence the former ever existed? Although John Horgan is talking about the ~2006 incarnation of Saoirse na hÉireann, in Divided We Stand: The Strategy and Psychology of Ireland's Dissident Terrorists he has this to say There have been other VDR groups that have been shorter lived and have posted a less sustained threat. Among these are Saor Uladh, the Irish Republican Liberation Army (IRLA), Saoirse na hÉireann, and the Republican Defence Army. These groups' short lifespans and the continuous emergence of other new groups often result in confusion among analysts as to their true nature. Short-lived groups often act as fronts for large paramilitary organizations that do not wish to have their names associated with a particular action (or when the perception of there being more than one group benefits the strategic objectives of a leadershipo that values the appearance of multiple dissident fronts).FDW777 (talk) 20:13, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
