Fair use rationale for Image:Disgaea3 cover.jpg edit

Image:Disgaea3 cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Save the Japanese cover artwork! edit

Just because they were made in Japan and sold in Japan, it seems to be...original until they have a US cover artwork, it'd be...un-original.

Save originality--what comes first comes from Japan--and keep it as they have a US cover artwork released later.

There's no reason, since there's generally only one difference between any US and Japanese artwork – whether the logo is in Japanese or English. And did you have to post this on every single game article? These are images, not endangered animals. Moreover, these are non-free images, and one cover is absolutely enough.—Loveはドコ? If you really want to see the Japanese cover I suggest you head on over to GameFAQ. They have all the varied country/bundle cover images for all games.mcnichoj (talk) 17:39, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

The plot.. edit

Is it really real?..Cause it seems so stupid and childish.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.196.81.123 (talk) 13:21, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I donno, it's about on par with the other Disgaea stories. I don't think what's in the wiki is the complete story. KiTA (talk) 23:00, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm playing the game now, and yes, it's real. It's just the background story, covered in the first hour or so of gameplay —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.17.138.228 (talk) 04:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can the article either be update to the full story of make mention that it's the incomplete/background. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.209.214.1 (talk) 19:58, 9 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

needs mention of multiple endings and information on said plotlines. I can confirm that some of it is correct except for the part on the "freshmen" being corrupt based on videos on youtube. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.212.252.117 (talk) 21:32, 16 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

shut up idiot, if you dont like the story then just hang yourself cause nobody needs your opinion on a game. bet you cant do any better —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.171.150.114 (talk) 08:14, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's really hard to understand the Story as it is, someone who played the game could rewrite that whole section — Preceding unsigned comment added by 177.40.239.210 (talk) 15:59, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

"Strategy Guide Material" edit

Um, there's nothing in the article that's strategy guide material. Some of it is poorly written, but nothing about strategy, just characters and selling points about the battle engine. KiTA (talk) 02:55, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

"DLC For the US" edit

There's no link confirming the statement. One might suspect that without confirmation it is merely speculation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.60.45.53 (talk) 17:59, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Name one game that is in both regions that has DLC only offered in one. On the 360 I have a U.S. account and a Japan account and I will tell you that even though the Japanese market has more content for RPGs over the U.S. one, they are in fact slowly releasing the content here. It's just that in Japan RPGs are more popular and most of them only have a 360 for the RPGs and so they finish them very quickly and the DLC helps keep them playing the game and entertained. In America it isn't the same case so they don't just throw everything out there at once. mcnichoj (talk) 17:18, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

UK release? edit

I've not seen any announcement (but then, I didn't realise La Pucelle Tactics has been released here until after it was already out of print..) but the latest PSM3 has Disgaea 3 on their upcoming release schedule under October. Shiroi Hane (talk) 07:57, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Character Section edit

Wouldn't it be better to remove character profiles and just link to the Disgaea character section like in the Disgaea: HoD and Cursed Memories articles? Arkadian (talk) 21:47, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Screw You Guys edit

Y'know what guys, some of you are nothing but a bunch of crybabies. I mean c'mon, at least give these people some credit when they go edit stuff on this section. Muchless you're self-centered, nobody would want to be around people like this who constantly whine. Stuff like about the cover art, poorly written "strategy guide" etc... You guys're just sad Zeta Nova 11:33, 1 January 2009 (UTC).Reply

Eh, I don't really know what's going on, nor did I ever really edit this article, but please assume good faith and be civil. -- クラウド668 21:55, 1 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Well, apparently. Some of tend to wine at these mere things. Like having the japanese version of the Blue-Ray game case, faq section not being accurate enough etc... Zeta Nova 14:22, 1 January 2009 (UTC).Reply

US version discontinued. edit

Nothing? Anyone know anything? It's been discontinued by NIS America and there don't seem to be any details anywhere on why. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.192.67.144 (talk) 04:59, 30 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pop Culture References edit

Should there be something in the article that mentions the fact that some of the characters have at least some basis on people in pop culture. For example, the character of Mr. Champloo speaks with cooking metaphors and constantly says "boom" at the end of his sentences. It's obvious that this is a reference to Emeril Lagasse who says "bam".

Another character in the game named Gold Knuckle constantly refers to himself as "The Knuck" and at one time or another uses the words "rudypoo" and "jabroni". This are obviously all mannerisms and phrases made popular by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. There is even a point where Gold Knuckle ends a sentence by saying, "...if you heeeaaarrrr". Once again this is obviously inspired by The Rock's most famous catchphrase.

I just found these things amusing when playing the game for the first time recently and I think that there should be a portion on the page devoted to this since there are similar sections in things such as television shows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.110.229.92 (talk) 06:47, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair Reception Section? edit

While the two positive reviews are mentioned in detail as to why they rated it positively. The Eurogamer review is simply listed as being negative with no quotes and the IGN reviewed is vaguely described but also has no direct quotes. Also RandomNPC is hardly a popular site. Certainly there is a more reputable review source than that.173.56.51.138 (talk)

Nevermind I just fixed it myself. I added more info from each review and added 1UP's review to the panel on the side. I also removed RandomNPC's review in favor of more well known reviews.173.56.51.138 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:01, 1 April 2010 (UTC).Reply
