Copyright Removal edit

I've done a simple Google search on various lines of the article and it appears as if it's been copied verbatim. I figured that the best solution (for now) is to remove the disputed text. Perhaps key points can be incorporated and cited. (Bambalabamba 07:02, 29 July 2006 (UTC))Reply

Sections to Delete edit

I'm going to remove the sections about "Most Dangerous Live Reports" and "Dramatic On-Camera Moments" for lack of a proper source as well as unencyclopedic writing. I'll give it a week?Schnauf (talk) 04:20, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

There was never a ratings boost after Diann Burns joined WBBM,so when i make corrections on the falsehood that there was "some" improvement in the ratings,my corrections keep getting deleted back to the falsehood. Why does this continue to happen?Smokiewight (talk) 06:48, 1 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Because you don't have proof of it happening and there is always a curiousity factor at the beginning of a new anchor's run (re: Katie Couric) where ratings do go up. The writing is also not neutral and basically asserts that Burns was the only reason for the station's ratings going down, when it was multiple factors that did the station in. Their overpayment for talent certainly was a factor, but the editorial direction and transmission problems played much more of a factor than anything else. So based on what you answered, where's YOUR proof that they went up?Smokiewight (talk) 04:07, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

By the way you DID have a point on the other factors, and I never said Burns was the only reason. If I find the proof I'll post it.Blessings.Smokiewight (talk) 04:09, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Clean up edit

I removed some material about not being the first African American, ect. Can only sourced material be added going forward? Thank you, --70.109.223.188 (talk) 18:35, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

DevorahLeah (talk) 02:01, 5 July 2008 (UTC) But what I put in about her not being the first African American WAS sourced, to the most reputable African-American newspaper in the United States at that time, the Chicago Defender. What was wrong with my correcting the myth that Diann was the first African American woman anchor?Reply

It was taken out before I did my rewrite last night. Since you have it down to the page and date the article was in, I have re-added it to the article as reliable as it can be confirmed, and it's much appreciated that you took the time to research it and put it in the article. Thanks :)! Nate (chatter) 06:01, 5 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
